About:72-Hour Visa-Free Transit FAQ

Going to Thailand via Beijing to/from?

Hi. We are from the USA and flying from New York to Beijing and then from Beijing to Bangkok return and then back to New York. Can we do the 72 hour visa both on our way to and from Bangkok?

Yes, of course. You should just take care that Beijing remains your only stop within mainland China both ways.

By the way, 72 hour visa free transit in Beijing has been replaced by 144 hour visa free transit a couple of years ago.
