About:Hong Kong Visa Policy

Hi - I am irish resident in Schenzen China on a 5 day visit visa -

Hi

China is a wonderful country and I like it a lot - my travels will take me to NZ for Christmas . If I go to Hong Kong before going back to Ireland - Can I visit other parts of China like Schenzen etc

You can get a 5-day visa on arrival at land ports in Shenzhen. However, that visa is not valid for other parts of Mainland China. If you want to stay in Mainland China longer you need a tourist visa before arrival.
