About:72-Hour Visa-Free Transit FAQ

Visa Free Transit

Hi
I am arriving at Beijing at 9:30am from India and will be departing from Beijing at 11:10pm same day to go to Qingdao from where i will leave the next day at 2:10pm for San Francisco, USA. Will I be eligible for either the 24/72 or 144 hour Visa Free Transits. If not, then can I get a visa on Arrival at Beijing airport and how much would it cost? Please let me know.

You need a visa or different flights. Two stops automatically limit you to 24 hours transit without visa in China. You cannot get a visa on arrival at Beijing.

Thanks for your response. Since my stay between Beijing and Qingdao i.e. mainland China is approximately 29 hours which more than 24 hours, can you please confirm if I can still get the 24 hours visa free transit or do I have to apply for multiple entry visa before my departure to China. Thanks

Its a very strict 24 hours since you travel through more than one Chinese Airport. You must get the visa in you passport in advance. Assuming you have USA passport apply for the 10 year multiple entry visa then you can do whatever flights you want.
