Taking gold out of Hong Kong

Hello,
My girlfriend has inherited 1 kg gold bar from her deceased father in Hong
Kong, Can she take the gold bar with her on the plane to USA and does she
have to declare it customs whilst leaving Hong Kong? What is the penalty if
she does not declare to customs the gold bar at Hong Kong airport.

Well, according to the situation, she'd better declare them at the custom. If not, she may be fined.
