I will get invitations letter from one of the Chinese university to attend 3 days workshop..

What kind of visa a apply for it?? Is the invitation letter is enough for applying visa..

You may need to apply for an F visa. Besides the invitation letter from the university, you also need to get a TE invitation letter or something like this from Chinese government through this university.
