About:72-Hour Visa-Free Transit

72 hours visa-free transit

I'm a USA passport. flight from Dallas to Shanghai, China for 2 days( stay at hotels in Shanghai ) and leave Shanghai airport to ho Chi Minh, Vietnam. Staying in Vietnam for 7 days and then a flight from Vietnam to Shanghai. staying for 2days and flight back to the USA.
DO I NEED A VISIT VISA? THANK YOU for the Advancement

If your itinerary is precisely:

Dallas - Shanghai - HCMC
HCMC - Shanghai - US

And you don't have any other stops within the mentioned itinerary, you are perfectly eligible for 144 hour visa free transit in Shanghai twice and you don't need any kind of visa.
