About:72-Hour Visa-Free Transit

AMS-CTU [via Southeast Asia] PEK-AMS

Hi,

I am flying from AMS to CTU on the 14th of November and than back from PEK to AMS on the 28th of November. The two legs were booked at KLM as a roundtrip. Between CTU and PEK I will do an Asia tour, flying with other different airlines. Affected countries are Thailand, Malaysia and Singapore. From CTU, I am going to fly to Bangkok on the 16th of Nov and at the end, returning back to the EU, from Singapore to Beijing on the 26th of Nov.

I am a bit confused because I do not know exactly: Can I also be considered a transit passenger if I fly from these cities with other carriers and not with the one with whom I flew to China?

Am I allowed to enjoy the option of visa exemption in Chengdu and Beijing in that case?

Thanks for the answer.

Yes, separate tickets have always been fine.
