About:Chinese Embassy in Ukraine

transit visa

Hi Im a ukrainian citizen, with German residence permit, I want to take a flight to and from Bangkok, with a 14 hours transit times in Beijing.

1) Do I need a visa if I want to go the the city for few hours?
2) Do I need a visa if I stay in airport?

Dear, as you qualify for 24-hour visa-free transit in Beijing, I can say that you don't need a visa if you just plan to stay in the airport. It's possible that the visa is not required either if you want to leave the airport, but this is at the discretion of immigration officers.
