About:72-Hour Visa-Free Transit

Visit Hangzau

I have a layover in Shanghai while traveling to Macau, I am thinking of extending my stay in Shanghai by a day by arriving a day earlier so that I can visit friends in Hangzau. Will I be able to apply for this when I arrive in Shanghai?

The entry permit itself allows you visit Hangzhou. As the permit is only issued after your arrival there is no need for an extension.
