About:240-hour Visa-free Transit in Shanghai, Zhejiang, and Jiangsu

6 days (144 hrs) total or each stop in china?

can i go to china 2 times -- once to shanghai, on the way to hong kong.....and on the way back from hong kong, stop in beijing?

can i do a total of 6 days combined or can i stay 6 days in each city?

how long must i wait in-between visits or do i only get a visa-free 6 days once in my lifetime?

You are perfectly allowed to enjoy 144 hour visa free transit on your each eligible transit through China. You are literally allowed to use this option every week :)

In other words, if your itinerary is:

US - Shanghai - Hong Kong
Hong Kong - Beijing - US

You can use 144 hour visa free transit in Shanghai, then fly to Hong Kong and immediately take the first plane back to mainland China to enjoy your second 144 hour visa free transit.

Literally, there is no limit on how often or how many times you can use this visa free transit scheme.
