About:240-Hour Visa-Free Transit in Guangdong

Can I fly from UK to Guangzhou and back directly to UK?

I want to visit Guangzhou and fly directly from the UK and visit for three days.
When I leave can I fly directly back to the UK or do I have to fly to another country and then onward to UK?
