US passport- Flying from USA to Beijing. Staying 5 days then flight from Beijing to Seoul (layover or 1 day stay) Then flight to USA.
Or flight from US to Seoul. Then flight Seoul to Beijing. Staying 5 days. Then flight Beijing to Tokyo. Then flight to US.
