About:Chinese Embassies and Consulates

180 days entry

Lets say I enter china at 1st nov 2019, and exit china on 1st jan 2020, which is less than 180 days, and then enter back at China on 15th Jan 2020, does the 180 days start from 1st nov 2019, or reset back to 15th Jan 2020?

It resets on 15th Jan 2020 if you hold a double or multiple entry visa.
