About:72-Hour Visa-Free Transit

24h visa without an actual flight ticket

I am landing with layover of 18h until the next flight. The flight are from different companies, which means that I probably won’t get an actual ticket for the second flight until I check in 2h before the flight. I can check in online but I don’t know if that will be enough to make it through customs and leave the airport...?

You mean a boarding pass. Airline tickets are basically 0s and 1s (i.e., digitalized) nowadays. You only need the 14-digit ticket number for immigration and not the boarding pass.

Many thanks for your answer John. What if I just have a flight booking confirmation. Would that be enough?

Whatever you print must show the ticket number, which is a long (13 or 14 digit) number. That will be enough.
