About:China Visa Entries / Validity / Duration of Stay

Transit Visa or Single Visa

Hi.
My flight is from Ulaanbaatar to my hometown Jakarta, but transit in Beijing.
Because of different airlines, I need to clear immigration, collect my baggage and check in again.
Do I need single visa or I can apply transit visa on the airport?

Dear, you need to check how long the layover in China is. If it's not more than 24 hours, you don't need the visa. Otherwise, you need one.

We had this same situation while transiting Shanghai 3 years ago. The agent at the airport gave us a 24 hour transit visa.
