About:72-Hour Visa-Free Transit

Philippine passport

hi am transiting Shanghai from Toronto going to Manila, Philippines and have a 28 hr layover, may i ask if can have a 72 hr transit visa-free transit so i can leave the airport for a day?

You will have to obtain a Chinese transit (G) visa in advance because with your layover of 28 hours, you have exceeded your allowed time for 24 hour visa free transit in China. In case if you have bought your flight ticket under flexible conditions, maybe you can rearrange your flight to comply with 24 hour visa free transit in China.
