transit visa

Question

My father is travelling from Brisbane to Kathmandu via China Southern and got 15 hrs transit in Guyangzhow. Do he have to obtain transit visa before travelling .He is travelling in Nepalese passport

Your father's itinerary is definitely eligible for 24 hour visa free transit and he doesn't need any kind of visa. He will just print out his flight tickets and have them in hard copy (printouts in reality), ready to be presented to relevant authorities. He will also declare in Brisbane at check-in that he will travel to Kathmandu via Guangzhou using 24 hour visa free transit.Upon his arrival in Guangzhou, he will remain within the transit area and after that he will take his flight to Kathmandu. He will also ask at check-in in Brisbane whether his luggage will be tagged all the way to Kathmandu, just for a case, although I'm almost certain that it will be the case.
