Maggie, here we have a problem because with your itinerary that has two stops in a row in two different Chinese transit zones (Guangzhou and Shanghai), you are allowed for just 24 hour visa free transit. In other words, if your scheduled cruise departure is less than 24 hours distant from your scheduled arrival in Guangzhou, you will be eligible for 24 hour visa free transit. Quite the contrary, if your cruise departure is more than 24 hours distant from your scheduled arrival in Guangzhou, you will need a visa obtained in advance. The alternative is to rearrange your flight to avoid a landing in Guangzhou.
