About:240-hour Visa-free Transit in Shanghai, Zhejiang, and Jiangsu

YVR-PVG 26 hours SHA-KMG 3 hour layover onward to KTM

My China Eastern itinerary is Vancouver to Shanghai landing at PVG then spending 26 hours in Shanghai before flying the next day leaving from the other Shanghai airport (SHA) to Kunming with a 3 hour layover then continuing on to Kathmandu. Are we eligible for a 72 transit visa while in Shanghai?

You are not eligible for any kind of transit without visa, and you must obtain a visa in advance or change your flights. The two stops (Shanghai, Kunming) immediately limit you to 24 hours visa-free transit in China.
