About:240-Hour Visa-Free Transit

Hk to Guangzhou (mtr) then Singapore

I travel on a Malaysian passport . Can I use the 144 hrs transit visa from Hong Kong to Guangzhou by train and fly out to sing ?

You cannot, for two reasons. 144 hours transit without visa in Guangdong is only permitted if the passenger arrives by air, not rail. And Malaysians do not qualify for 144 hours anyway (only 24 is allowed).
