About:72-Hour Visa-Free Transit

Transit visa 72 hours

Is a bit confused how to obtain a 72 hours transit visa, should I apply from my country (new zealand) in the china consulate or I apply when I arrive to China in the airport?

Again, there is no 72 hours visa. There is 72 hour visa free transit. There is also 24 and 144 hour visa free transit. As I have mentioned below, let's say that you have decided to travel from Auckland to Paris via Beijing and you intend to stay for a couple of days in Beijing to explore the city. Here are the steps you will make:

- You will book your tickets and decide how many days you want to spend in Beijing
- You will print out your e-tickets and have those printouts with you
- You will book your accommodation in Beijing and have a printout of a confirmation of your accommodation booking
- You will declare at check-in in Auckland that you will travel to Paris via Beijing using 144 hour visa free transit
- After short inspection of your tickets, you will be allowed to board the plane
- Upon landing in Beijing, you will approach 144 hour visa free transit counter where you will fill out a blue form
- After a short inspection, you will get a sticker in your passport and you will be allowed to exit the airport

This is it.
