About:China Family Reunion Visa

Married a chinese citizen outside China

I want to get a Q1 or Q2 visa to visit my wife in China. We got married outside of China and I have the original marriage certificate.
I did not notarize the document at the chinese embassy in the country where we got married, but the document is original. Is that enough for the application?

If you apply for Q visa in the country where you got married, you don't need to have the marriage certificate notarized.
