About:240-Hour Visa-Free Transit

144 hours visa back and forth

Simple question, we live in Switzerland.

Let us say we travel from another country (like Italy),

assume we do : Switzerland -> Italy -> Shanghai -> Macau -> Shanghai -> Italy -> Switzerland.

First leg would mean we spend 4-5 days in shanghai, second leg just a few hours transit (separate tickets though between Shanghai-macau).

Would that fit the bill ?

Thanks in advance ü

First leg qualifies for the 144h twov, return flight for the 24h transit.

Thanks !

And what if we do :

Switzerland - Italy - Shanghai (3 days) - macau - peking (2 days) - Italy - Switzerland ?
Is the Beijing leg also seen as 144 hrs transit eligible, or not ?

Thanks again !

Sure, you just replace Shanghai.
