About:Requirements for China Green Card (Permanent Residence Permit)

Is permanent residence permit bound to one province?

My current residence permit and work permit are issued by Jiangsu Province.

If I get a permanent residence permit as spouse of my Chinese wife, will this then also be limited by a province or would it in fact be nationally recognized, ie when I want to buy a house?

It would be nationally recognized. However, some cities may require only local citizens with household registration can buy a house.
