Do you have to visit the a Visa Center to submit a visa application

Do you have to visit the a Visa Center to submit a visa application (trade visa not tourist) or can it still be done as previously always done by post?

Yes, you have to submit the visa application to the service center in person. Since 1st Nov. 2018, the center will capture all applicants' fingerprints on behalf of the Chinese Embassy and Consulates in the UK accordance with Chinese laws and regulations, and based on the principle of reciprocity. Fingerprints are required every time an eligible applicant submits an application to the centre,evern if you have provided fingerprints in the recent past.
