About:24-Hour Visa-Free Transit

Is a transit Visa required for 2 stops(CAN, WUH) on an international flight for Indian citizens?

I am Indian citizen traveling from New Delhi to San Francisco on China Southern Airlines via Guangzhou(CAN) and Wuhan(WUH). My layovers are 3h 15m and 2h 35m at both the airports respectively. I'll leave China within 6 hours of entering the country and don't need to exit the airport. Will I still need a transit visa? The airlines asked me to confirm with the embassy.
Thank you for your help in advance.

Vinod, you will not get an answer to any of the mentioned two addresses. The airline representatives are just a customer service without proper or even any knowledge of this detail and the embassies/consulates are nothing better. The reason for that is that embassies handle visas, while visa free transit is entirely outside there jurisdiction. It is Chinese immigration that is relevant for this subject. In reality, totally different ministry. The first people that will have knowledge about this subject on your journey are airport staff. They know about this schemes and if they feel insecure, they will consult Timatic, really the only and the most authoritative source for this subject.

Now, I can tell you that you are perfectly eligible for 24 hour visa free transit and you don't need any kind of visa. This is for certain.
