About:China Visa on Arrival

Visa possibility for Danish citizen

Hi Travel China
I am a danish citizen and have been to China several times before.

I have been assigned the task of approving a Chinese pharmaceutical company for the EU/US market. The task will take me to China for about 10 days. I will fly to Hohhot and leave from Xian.

The problem is I have only a few days before I must leave to Taiwan. I will then fly from Taiwan to Hohhot.

Is it possible for me to get a Chinese Visa in Taiwan?

I have an appointment at the Chinese visa agency tomorrow, but the handling time is several days so it might not be ready in time.

Thank you

Unfortunately, Taiwan is one of the worst places in the entire world where you could try to obtain a mainland China visa. If I were you I would not count of getting one there at all. In reality it is possible to obtain a mainland Chinese visa in Taiwan only in case if you are in possession of valid Alien Resident Certificate (ARC). Maybe you should try to apply through some of really efficient Hong Kong visa agencies that are able to procure a visa within 2 working days, but that would require that you travel there. I really cannot telly you anything better than this because when you are short in time, everything begins to appear so out of reach and expensive, by the way.

Thank you. Was afraid that might be the answer. I will look into the possibility of taking a trip to Hong Kong.
