About:China Visa on Arrival

Malaysian going from Macau to Zhuhai by VOA

Hi,
1.If a Malaysian doesn't have the old expired visa, would it be difficult to get a VOA?
2.The 3 days VOA to Zhuhai, does that mean I can stay for two night? or is it 72hrs period?

1. Recent practice shows that Malaysian citizens are eligible for Zhuhai and/or Shenzhen visa only in case if they have been granted a Chinese visa previously by embassy or consulate. Anyway, I cannot rule out that you maybe can obtain Zhuhai VOA upon arrival even in case if you have not been granted a Chinese visa previously. You have to be aware that for certain citizens, Chinese VOA rules or better to say attitudes change on daily basis without previous announcement.

2. You can stay for 3 nights. In reality, 72 hours begin to count in the midnight of the following day. In other words, if you arrive in Zhuhai on Monday, your 72 hours start to count from 00:00 of the next day, i.e. Tuesday, and you are allowed to stay there until Thursday at 23:59.
