You are eligible for 144 hour visa free transit in principle. Anyway, to confirm your eligibility, you have to check whether your itinerary fulfills the following conditions:
- Your flight from, I assume UK, to Beijing should not have any additional landings within mainland China and in the country where your cruise will have its first port of call, immediately after Tianjin (Beijing)
- Your cruise is not allowed to have it first port of call, immediately after Tianjin (Beijing), in mainland China
If the above conditions are fulfilled, you are definitely eligible for 144 hour visa free transit in Beijing area.0
