About:240-hour Visa-free Transit in Beijing, Tianjin & Hebei

Is there a time requirement also for the A location?

Hello,
Thanks for the very useful guide. All very clear, I just have one doubt.
My question is whether there is also a required time to be spent in location A. For instance, my travel plan is the following:

- Leaving from Turin, Italy
- Arriving in Amsterdam and departing the same day (location A)
- 5 days and a half in Beijing (location B)
- Arrival in Milan, Italy (location C)

Is this plan going to work for the 144-hour transit?
Any issues arising from the fact of leaving from Italy and also concluding the trip in Italy? My guess is there is no problem if flying from Turin to Amsterdam I don't check-in for the Beijing flight (similar case to Sean).

Thanks in advance,
Best regards!

Your itinerary is definitely eligible for 144 hour visa free transit. Regarding your question about departing and arriving in the same country... In reality, this detail definitely doesn't interest Chinese authorities because they just look after your immediate points before and after your destination in China. In this case, your immediate points are Netherlands and Italy, so the requirements are satisfied.
