Compatibility of horse and tiger

My ex and I broke up. He is a tiger and I'm the horse, born on February 2, 1990 while the prior was April 20, 1998. How come we broke up when we are compatible signs? Is this a test among us?

OH my bad I got the dates messed up you are a horse. Feb 22 is for rat I always mix tho two up. So horse year begins Jan.27 1990. In this case, I have no idea. My bet would be numerology. Your numerology life path is a 5 while he is a 6. You get this by adding up the digits of your birth date and reducing it down to single number. 6 is a very harmonious and attractive number but may find a bit of a challenge with the 5 person because 5 is ruled by the 5 senses making them overly sensual. 5 is also a bit changeable and unstable which will upset the 6's need for balance and stability.
