About:240-Hour Visa-Free Transit

Do I need a visa

i am going to Arrive in Shanghai at 5am on a cruise ship and departing on a flight to Australia at 7.40pm on the same day so do I need a visa or do I qualify for visa except.

You are eligible for 24 hour visa free transit in Shanghai, but under the two following conditions:

- Your cruise is not allowed to have its last port of call, immediately before Shanghai, in mainland China
- Your flight out of Shanghai is not allowed to have any additional landing within mainland China and in the country where your cruise will have its last port of call

You should just check your cruise and flight itinerary and if the two, above mentioned, conditions are fulfilled, you are definitely eligible for 24 hour visa free transit in Shanghai.
