About:240-hour Visa-free Transit in Wuhan

Rome-Wuhan-Guangzhou-Auckland

Hi, I hold NZ passport. I will transit two cities in China but less than 24 hours. Do I need Chinese visa? If not, can I get out of Guangzhou airport for a short sightseeing?

You don't need any kind of visa because your itinerary is definitely eligible for 24 hour visa free transit during your entire transit in China. You will be also able to exit the airport in Guangzhou because you will cross the immigration and also apply for 24 hour free entry permit upon your landing in Wuhan. This permit will allow you to exit the airport and to take a metro to the center of Guangzhou.
