About:China Visa

Can the "inviting party" for a Q2 visa be a Chinese passport holder who doesn't live in China?

I want to apply for a Q2 visa to visit my husband's parents and family in China. I am a EU citizen, he is a Chinese citizen with a permanent residence permit in The Netherlands. He lives in The Netherlands for already 10 years. While filling out the application form for the Q2, I got confused about how to fill in his information. I assumed he could be my 'inviting party', because he is a Chinese citizen, but he doesn't actually live there, so we don't know how to fill in his address in China. If we fill in his registered address (his parents' address in China), it is contradictory to the other information I have to fill in (he's my spouse and 'travel companion'). Should I change the inviting party to my parents-in-law? Can I then still apply for a Q2?
Thank you in advance!

If your husband is still a Chinese citizen, then he doesn't need a visa to return back to China. You could fill his parents address as his. Then he still can be your inviter.

Why not just let his parents be your inviting party instead of your husband?
