About:240-hour Visa-free Transit in Beijing, Tianjin & Hebei

I am planning to fly from UK to Phuket for a week in March 2020.

Then From Phuket to Beijng for another 5 nights, flying out early on the 6th day of arrival in Beijing to head back to the UK. Do I need a visa or am I covered by the 144hr rule?

You are covered by the 144 hour visa free transit, but you should have in mind that your flights from Phuket to Beijing and from Beijing to UK should not have any additional landing within mainland China.
