Need to cancel my studies, but I'm already in China with a visa.

Hi! I have an x2 visa and I was planning to study for half a year in China, but because of a sudden economical issue, I can't afford the school's study fee etc, so I need to cancel my studies. Is it possible to stay and travel for a month on this visa (since I'm already in the country and would like to make the trip worth something), or do I need to leave as soon as I officially quit the school? you could change you visa into a tourist visa or directly apply for a humanitarian visa at local Public Security Bureau (PSB) Exit and Entry Administration office.
