how to work on a bank statement for an X1 visa provide for me by my cousin?

what should i legalise in the bank statement before applying for my visa at the cameroon consulate so as to avoid rejection?

Your cousin could go to the bank and ask them to issue the statement for latest three month. Try to keep a higher account balance on it.
