About:72-Hour Visa-Free Transit

Transit in Beijing

Hi, I will be transiting in Beijing from Sydney going to Paris. 2 years ago I had a lot of trouble doing the same as we were required to get a ‘transit visa’ paper in order to go from one terminal to another. Is it still the same nowadays or did they make the process much easier and quicker?

You didn't get a transit visa paper, you got a temporary permit to leave the airport.
You still need it nowadays.

But it shouldn't be no problem as you're in transit.
