About:240-hour Visa-free Transit in Xiamen

Can we apply a Single Entry VISA for China when we are in China ?

Hi,
We will visit China with a Single Entry VISA, then go to Taiwan. And then come back again to China. Many people say, it is hard to get China Visa when we are in Taiwan. So Can we apply Single Entry Visa to China again when we are still in China. Thanks.

No, you cannot. You need a Chinese visa obtained in advance and it is also true that it is hard to obtain a Chinese visa while in Taiwan. In my opinion, your best option is to carefully book your tickets from Taiwan through China to be eligible for 24 hour visa free transit. In other words, your entire transit time through China should be less than 24 hours. If you do that, you will travel through China without the need to obtain any kind of visa.

Just to clear one detail. In reality, it is possible to obtain a new visa while in China, but the new visa validity begins when the old one expires because you cannot have two concurrent visas. This means that a new visa cannot be exported outside China in order to be used to enter China. It is only valid for the continuity of your stay in China.
