Z visa extension for Zimbabwean

My Z Visa will be expiring at the end of September. I would love to travel around China for say 3 to 4 weeks.Which visa can I apply for within China and how many days can I apply before z visa export ?Thank you.

You can change your Z visa into a tourist L visa at nearby Public Security Bureau (PSB) Exit and Entry Administration office. Normally, you should submit the application at least 7 work days before your visa expires.
