About:240-Hour Visa-Free Transit

Moscow>Beijing>Bangkok

Hi,
Arriving in Beijing on September 21st early in the morning and leaving for Bangkok on September 26th in the afternoon. All direct flights. Would that qualify for 144 h visa free transit?
Also, is it a requirement to have a confirmed seat for the flight out of Beijing? Sounds weird as most airlines open registration 72 h ahead as maximum. So when I arrive in Beijing I certainly won't have a boarding pass for the next flight.
Many thanks!
Roxana

“Confirmed seat” just means you can’t fly standby. You don’t need a boarding pass. You route is fine if your flights are non-stop (not quite the same as “direct”, especially for some flights from that part of the world.
