About:24-Hour Visa-Free Transit

China Transit Visa ...

Hello My flight is from SFO to Kunming & to Viantane. I am a US passport holder. My flight from SFO to Kunming is stopping in qingdao ( I am not changing flight as its only refueling hald ) & stop in kunming for 9hrs. & than going to Viantane, Viatnam. Do I need any Transit Visa.
I am not going out of Airport. Please ADVISE ASAP.

Your itinerary is definitely eligible for 24 hour visa free transit in China. In other words, you don't need any kind of visa. The main reason for your eligibility is the fact that your entire transit time in China is less than 24 hours, from your scheduled arrival in Qingdao until your scheduled departure from Kunming.

All you have to do is to print out your tickets and have them in hard copy ready to be shown to relevant authorities. Upon your check-in in SFO, you will just declare that you will travel to Vientiane, Laos via China using 24 hour visa free transit. After that, you will present your tickets that will be the proof for your statement. Soon, you will be allowed to board the plane and start your journey.

When you land in Qingdao, all the necessary formalities will be performed and you will be allowed to normally continue your journey as planned all the way to your final destination in Laos.

By the way, you have mentioned that your final destination is "Viantane, Viatnam", but I have assumed that you were thinking about Vientiane in Laos.
