About:24-Hour Visa-Free Transit

Do I need visa in for my transit?

Hi! I hold a Philippine passport. I will be traveling from Bangkok (BKK) back to the Philippines (CEB) with a 15 hour lay-over at Kunming. I wish to get out of the airport within that 15-hour layover. Will I be qualified for the 24-hour Temporary Stay Permit? Thanks.

The main detail is that you are eligible for 24 hour visa free transit. Anyway, whether you will be granted an entry permit depends solely upon immigration discretion. You can increase your chances with accommodation booking and presenting the confirmation, but even in this case, a permit is not guaranteed.

In reality, only the transit (G) visa would guarantee your exit from the airport, but I consider such a move entirely uneconomical because we are talking just about 15 hours.
