Can I take my Personal Locator Beacon into and out of China on my holiday trip

I am planning a holiday trip to China and usually carry a Personal Locator Beacon (PLB) with me when travelling to activate for Search and Rescue if I get into a situation where life and death rescue is required. These beacons are usually carried in light aircraft, yachts, by hikers and other similar outdoors activities. I have searched the internet for information but cannot ascertain if China allows these to be taken into their country and used if a life and death emergency arises. I wrote to their search and rescue authorities ages ago, but never received a response. Does anyone know if there are any restrictions?

Well, I am not sure. Maybe you can contact the China custom and confirm this information.

I have already done so, but no replies from anyone, hence this query. Thank you.
