Dear, do you refer to the visa-free transit in Shanghai? If yes, as long as your stay in mainland China only involves Shanghai and its neighboring Jiangsu and Zhejiang, you may qualify for the 144hour visa-free transit there. It is not a transit visa, but a visa-free scheme. You can follow the signs at the airport upon arrival.

Make sure your flight Shanghai > Singapore does not travel through the Hong Kong Airport again or a visa will be necessary.
