About:Zhangye Danxia National Geological Park

Is it enough to cover Zhangye rainbow mountain for half day?

We did the ice valley and rainbow mountains as a trip from Zhangye, leaving at 1.30pm and back by 9pm. We had loads of time at both, so if that's too long for you then you could swish through them slightly faster, or just go to one.
