About:Shanghai Hongqiao Railway Station

Is this Mercure Shanghai Hongqiao Airport in walking distance?

Or do we still need to take shuttle bus or taxi to get to the hotel?

The distance is not suitable for walking, it is about 7km. You need taxi instead. Or you can use metro line 10 to Hongqiao T1. The hotel is only about 100m away from the T1 metro station.
