About:240-Hour Visa-Free Transit

Earlier flight

Is it possible with the 144hours visa exemption to change your departure flight once you are already in the country, for example to take a flight out of China earlier or later (but within the time window) than what you showed the immigration officer?

Thank you!

Sure as long as you don't exceed the 144 hours you're fine to change your flight (you can't take a flight which flies back to country A).

Thank you for your answer.

Would you be able to take this earlier flight on a standby ticket as long as you have the confirmed flight as back up?

You just need a confirmed flight ticket within the time frame.

You can have as much stand bye tickets as you want.
