About:Shanghai 15-day Visa-free Policy for Cruise Tour Groups

visa free china multi entry

Hi. We are doing a repositioning cruise from Vancouver to Singapore.
Our ship leaves Seoul (South Korea) travels to Tianjin, then Dalian, then Shanghai and the next port is Busan (South Korea). Nor returning to China.
Please confirm that these daily visits by the ship are covered by one of the visa exemption schemes for China?

Unfortunately, your itinerary is not eligible for any of the available visa exemption schemes. Simply speaking, you are transiting through three different transit zones in a row and even the option of Shanghai 15 day visa free policy does not apply in your case because your first port call is not Shanghai, but Tianjin. You will have to apply for a Chinese visa in advance.
