About:240-Hour Visa-Free Transit

Hallo. I arrive to Guandzhou via air (non-stop flight from third country). I'll stay in Guandung province for 38 hours before I departure to Hong Kong by speed train. Am i eligible for 144 visa free transit?

You cannot use a hiogh speed train because this train is not eligible for 144 hour visa free transit. Instead, you will use Guangzhou–Kowloon through train, departing from Guangzhou East railway station and arriving at Hung Hom railway station in Hong Kong.

You will have to book a train ticket before the start of your journey, preferably at this website. Just take a look at the upper part of the site and you will see a word "Trains". Here, you can book a train and keep in mind that you will have to provide a hotel where this ticket will be sent. You will receive an e-confirmation in your inbox, print it out and use it as a proof for your visa free transit itinerary. Keep in mind that you will have to use eactly that train that you have bought your ticket for.

By the way, this train is also fine and quite fast. It takes a bit less than 2 hours to reach Hong Kong from Guangzhou.

i am slovenian citizen flzing from Bali to Guangzhou on 29th.
Am i eligeble for 144 hour visa? i want to visit shenzen by train and then fly to europe from guangzhou on the 6th day.

Thanks for your answer! I just want to recognize what transport can I leave China by (besides aircraft). As a result, I purchased e-ticket on ferry to HK instead train:)
